Business
Sponsor - Donation Request
|
|
Dear Business Sponsor:
Lambda Chi Alpha at The Ohio State University is once again
sponsoring an event to raise money for charity. This year’s
event will benefit a very worthy cause close to so many of
us. The proceeds will be donated to the American Diabetes
Association. The American Diabetes Association
is the nation’s leading nonprofit health organization
providing diabetes research, information and advocacy.
The brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha will be coaching sorority
teams and other special guests from The Ohio State University
community to compete against each other in our annual Watermelon
Bust – May 17th 11:00am – 3:00pm on the
Ohio State campus. This event is comprised of several different
games involving watermelons, including a watermelon pass and
a tug-of-war.
With a donation of $200.00, we will include your company logo
on our Watermelon Bust T-shirt and put your company name in
the press releases following the event. Checks should be payable
to Lambda Chi Alpha. Your donation will be used to purchase
t-shirts as well as rent equipment for the event. The profits
raised from the participation fees and sale of T-shirts will
be donated to the American Diabetes Association. Press releases
have already been sent out for the event and will be sent
out once again after the event, in order to inform the media
of our sponsors. We have contacted our student newspaper,
The Lantern, and hope to get an article to cover the event.
Please mail your donation and a .jpg file of your
logo by May 2nd, 2008 to:

Lambda Chi Alpha Watermelon Bust
Between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2008 the
men of Lambda Chi Alpha will be hosting Watermelon Bust to
benefit the American Diabetes Association. The event will
be held on The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus,
on the grassy field south of Scott House (North campus).
Many of The Ohio State University’s Sororities will
be participating this year, in what can best be described
as watermelon Olympics. The events include a watermelon pass,
judged by brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha, a watermelon chucking
contest, watermelon crawl, and a watermelon tug-of-war.
The gentlemen of Lambda Chi Alpha hope to raise several thousand
dollars to support an organization that helps so many in our
own community.
