Lambda Chi Alpha Watermelon Bust

Between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2008 the men of Lambda Chi Alpha will be hosting Watermelon Bust to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The event will be held on The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus, on the grassy field south of Scott House (North campus).

Many of The Ohio State University’s Sororities will be participating this year, in what can best be described as watermelon Olympics. The events include a watermelon pass, judged by brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha, a watermelon chucking contest, watermelon crawl, and a watermelon tug-of-war.

The gentlemen of Lambda Chi Alpha hope to raise several thousand dollars to support an organization that helps so many in our own community.

Nathanial Hix, Michael Irwin, and Curtis Senn will be participating in the Great Lakes Regional Conclave, a mini-Leadership convention at Michigan State with fellow mid-western brothers. We will be at Michigan State Friday - Sunday meeting brothers from around the area as well as listening to information regarding different officer positions.

The brothers will be volunteering for Walk MS in the morning on Saturday, April 19th at the Dawes Arboretum in Newark, OH. We will be supporting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in order to help with their fundraising efforts. As of 4/7/08 we will be assisting them with unloading their trucks, handing out t-shirts, as well as welcoming and guiding walkers as they check in.

- Chapter Dinner at the House 5:30 p.m. (Free Dinner)
- Open House 8:00 p.m. to 12 p.m.
- Come Check out the house and meet the guys

Tuesday April 1st
- Football in the oval 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
- Cane’s Night at the house 6:00 p.m. (Free Cane’s)

Wednesday April 2nd
- Wednesday Dinner 5:00 p.m. (Free Pizza or cookout)
- Corn Hole Tournament 5:30 p.m. (Gift Card Prizes)

Thursday April 3rd
-Bowling Night (Free Bowling)
- Meet at the house at 8:15p.m.

Friday April 4th
- House Hangout 5:30 p.m.
- Find out about Fraternity life and hang out

Saturday April 5th
-Cookout 5:30 p.m. at the house
